How COVID-19 affects UATP services.

Check back, we'll update this as our circumstances change.

UPDATED 7-7-2020.

For latest updates, check this blog, UATP's Facebook page, or our Twitter feed.

The changes to our operations will continue until further notice.

UATP financing

The Utah Assistive Technology Program's financing (assistive technology loans, small business loans and small grants) will continue! This service is available to Utahns with disabilities, statewide. To find out more, visit our website or call 800-524-5152.

Demonstration, loan and reuse: Logan and the Uintah Basin

Our Logan and Uintah Basin locations will continue operating on a limited basis. Call us! We may be able to help you over the phone or video chat, or by appointment. For more information contact Cameron Cressall in the Uintah Basin and Dan O'Crowley in Logan.

Salt Lake City reuse

Our Salt Lake City location is currently not accepting new clients or donations, due to the increase in COVID-19 infections in the region.

Resources

Ways to see Mom virtually (and not just on Mother's Day). This is a list of messaging and video chat apps. It indicates what each allows the user to do, and which have captions enabled.

List of resources for people with disabilities who are learning or working at home.

UATP thanks all those who helped us produce face shields for health care workers.

The university and community members have teamed up to produce and distribute more than 1650 face shields to health care workers and first responders, some of whom are in very rural areas. We are now directing those who would like to produce face shields to UserveUtah. They have drop boxes in Logan, Salt Lake City, Panguitch, Provo, Fairview, Ogden, Enoch and Delta.
